Generally that means that there has been confirmed undesirable email from that host or address and future messages will be in the same category. This does not take into account possible forged headers, etc. so there is a fair chance that the list catches inappropriate individuals.
Over time, we consolidate entries. When 3 different IPs within a class C network have been added to the list, they are removed and the entire network is added. This list is exclusive to those added to the Dial DNSBL or the Spam DNSBL.
Domains with suspicious names, bounce catching user names (which include the recipient's address or some form of unique id), or which show an excessive number of unique user names generating undesirable email, are added to the domain list.

You can find out if a host is on the list, the last date it was scanned, and which ports were found to be open by querying the list:
If you are listed and feel it's inappropriate, you should address your concern to dnsbl at invlogic.com. Please explain why you feel we should remove the entries. We will research the facts, including when the entry was added, how it was added, etc. We will let you know of our decision.
The easiest means to get your message delivered is to publish SPF records for the domain. Our systems are configured to overlook the DNSBLs if the host is the legitimate sender for the given domain. Abuse of this (publishing +all records or sending spam via an authorized host) will result in the domain being added to our SPF DENY list, blocking it permanently.
As a last resort, we have created a special address that will allow you to send a message in spite of the above source and content filtering. By sending your message to:
bypass+<user>#<domain> at invlogic.comwhere <user>#<domain> is the original address with the @ replaced by a #. For example:
bypass+access#linux.org at invlogic.com
Initially, someone here will review the message and pass it along to the recipient, eventually it may become more automatic. I would not recommend sending anything you're not comfortable having someone, besides the intended recipient, reading. This will only work for domains which we are locally responsible for, it isn't a generic forwarder. We reserve the right to permanently block anyone who abuses this feature.
