Innovative Logic Corp is committed to the development of Internet Relay Chat (IRC) as a form of communication among users world-wide. As part of this committment, we are striving to work with other software developers to create new standards in the following areas:
Client to Client Protocol (CTCP) -- Currently, we are facilitating an internet draft document outlining new standards and procedures for IRC Clients. Last Modified November 10, 1997
REXX Scripting -- We are actively participating in a committee of IRC client authors and script writers to develop standards under which REXX scripting will be compatible across all OS/2 IRC clients.
Another document currently up for public review is the following:
Internet Relay Chat Protocol Extensions (CTCP) -- This document is being facilitated by two authors from Microsoft.
We have included two reference documents for your review:
RFC #1459 -- The Internet Relay Chat Standard from 1993.
CTCP Version One -- The Client-To-Client Protocol from 1993.
In addition to collaborating with the IRC community to develop new standards, we have created two IRC clients for OS/2:
IRC/2: Internet Relay Chat for OS/2, a text-based client
PM IRC/2, a presentation manager version
